11. What does it cost per sq. ft. to build a house?

Comparing cost per square foot from one builder or architect to another is problematic because there is no set formula for computing it. The basic problem is that you don't know what is included in the number. Sometimes it's just the hard cost of the work, other times it might include supervision and contractor fees and interest costs and architectural costs and more.

Our homes have ranged between $450 and $1,000 per sq. ft. and this includes the cost of the work (materials, labor and subcontractors) supervision and contractor fees.

12. What is your availability?

We are usually brought into the project in the very early stages and given an estimate from the architect as to when they think the construction will begin. A typical timeframe from start of design to start of construction is nine months to a year. Generally if we are given that timeframe we can work the project into our schedule.
